I just watched the Grenadier attempting to climb a hill in a desert with a few rocks,the guy who was given the vehicle was shocked that it just couldn’t,he then put on the lockers and backed up and then made it up ,he said quote don’t buy one of these without the lockers or your stuck,a Jeep rubicon without the lockers went up the hill with ease .The guy in the video said well you have to compare the Grenadier with the defender the jeep is an unfair comparison ,he went on to say the only two vehicles that are comparable is the Mercedes G and the Rubicon X in any type of terrain,but he said the Grenadier was built solid but he didn’t like the BMW gear shifter which was out of place .

I still prefer the Discovery 4.

My Ineos goes off-roading. In fact, it has been offroad for 5 weeks and counting back at the dealer whilst Ineos Technical continue to fail to diagnose why the cabin heater and aircon do not work. They haven't got a scooby what is wrong - but hey, they have been paid in full for the vehicle, so all is good in their world. I wrote to Ineos CEO Lynn Calder recorded delivery to escalate my complaint. No response - so she doesn't care.

As hideous I find the Defender inside and out, I feel like it might age better just a bit. The Disco isn't a very timeless design even though it looks so much nicer currently imo.

We prefer both in garage :-) Discovery on highway and Defender to forest :-)

The Discovery is a good balance between the luxury of a Range Rover and the “off-roadiness” of the defender.
